Help needed for the summer fete!

We have another fun-packed fete planned for next term (Saturday 12th May, 11 am-3.00pm). This year we have a traditional seaside theme – expect Punch & Judy, pony rides, fairground rides and candy floss as well as our usual amazing collection of stalls and attractions including BBQ, plants and produce, tombola, crafts, tea and cake tent and more.

We need your help, please, to make this another very successful event and raise lots of money for the extra items in school that your sons and daughters will benefit from. Please look out for a letter at the beginning of term.

If you are able to donate any of the following we would be extremely grateful. They can be brought into school and left in the office as soon as possible.

* Good condition books
* Tombola prizes
* Raffle prizes
* Cakes (please bring in on the day)
* Plants
* Filled jam jars for the hugely popular Children’s Jam Jar Tombola – please fill one or two with penny sweets and small toys

Finally, we are looking for offers of help on the day. ‘Many hands make light work!’ So if you are able to spare an hour or two please contact Joy  via the School reception desk or email PA@hohs.co.ukHOHS-FETE-drawings

Winter Wonderland thank yous

Is it really almost a week ago? A huge thank you to everyone who helped, donated raffle prizes, baked cakes, helped set up and clear away, took a stall or just came to support our Winter Wonderland Fair last Saturday. It was much appreciated!

The whole event was relaxed and enjoyable and in terms of fundraising was a big success, with takings of over £2100 before expenses, so it will be a big boost for PA funds. Most of our 50+ stallholders had a good day and are keen to come to our summer fete next May.

We hope you all enjoyed this event as much as we did – and thanks again! More pictures of the Fair were on the blog last weekend.

Joy Elsley, PA Chair
